Kristen and Lou are young, dynamic attorneys who wanted their November wedding to reflect their shared interests and careers. They sought an ambiance that was warm, intimate and elegant. They also wanted to incorporate twists on traditions, such as their passion for the movie, "The Princess Bride" and Lou's love for ice cream.

A string quartet played Vivaldi's "Autumn" as Kristen held a bouquet of garnet and amethyst tones as she approached Lou. The pews were festooned with flowers in deep fall tones.

The reception featured a runner composed entirely of fall leaves draped over the place card table. Cards with character names and quotes from the "The Princess Bride" were hand water-colored and used in place of table numbers. Favors included butter cookies iced with the scales of justice in University of Illinois colors. After supping on beef tenderloin and chicken provencal, guests enjoyed a sundae bar featuring Haagen Dazs ice creams, traditional and autumnal toppings such as gingersnaps, hot fudge, caramel and apples foster topping.

Everyone danced the night away to the sounds of The Stitely Orchestra.
